Denis Morelli has strong experience in defending clients before the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), the BSM Market Supervision, the Central Bank, and the National Financial System Appeal Council (CRSFN).
He served as in-house counsel at the B3 S.A. (the Brazilian Stock Exchange). He was also part of the legal department of the BSM Market Supervision, self-regulatory entity managed by B3, working on enforcement proceedings against brokers and market participants, in addition to negotiating settlement agreements.
He served as advisor to the CVM Board, operating in relevant enforcement cases, and responding to queries, drafting of rules, and evaluating settlement agreements.
He graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC, has a master and PHD in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo – USP. Is a professor in LLM programs and wrote articles published in law journals and magazines.
